Adam LZ and Chelsea Denofa stop by to try out the Drift Kart and give their perspective from a Pro Drift Driver point of view.
Our Gas Drift Kart has been a favorite for many, and that includes Adam LZ. He explains how the sound of an engine really adds to the experience of driving the Drift Kart. Being able to rip around in a kart that drifts with a loud raging engine behind you, enhancing the overall feel and emotion while piloting the Drift Kart.
On the other end of the spectrum, Chelsea prefers the stealthiness of the Electric Drift Kart. He prefers the freedom to go anywhere and rip around an empty parking lot without being a nuisance to anyone around you. He also explains that there isn't much of a trade off in terms of performance when comparing to the Gas counterpart. Chelsea also touches on the initial torque available when comparing to the Gas as well.
Both drivers touch on the driving feel and both agree in its ability to feel quite similar to a real drift car. As Chelsea typically focuses on steering feel and performance, he talks about how the Drift Kart steering system has been the most realistic he has experienced when referring to a Go Kart that drifts.
The extreme angle knuckle is the most angle he's ever seen and was impressed with the caster, camber and adjustable Ackermann engineered into the steering geometry as it mimics what's in a real drift car. Both drivers express how pleased they were with the smooth transitions they could achieve and the ability to really feel what the rear of the kart is doing and being able to make angle changes in tandem just like a real car.
Adam also expresses how it can be a viable tool for learning and improving your driving skill in a real car when it may not be possible to have seat time in a real car.
